How it works

IIMs don’t shortlist on CAT percentile alone. Each institute blends CAT performance with your class 10, class 12 and graduation marks, work experience and diversity into a composite score, then shortlists above a cutoff. The equations and criteria we use are taken from each college’s latest published admission policy, together with data obtained through RTI requests. Since everything except the CAT part is already fixed by your profile, the predictor runs each formula in reverse: it works out exactly how much CAT performance you’d need to cross each institute’s recent interview-call bar.

  1. 1

Fill in your academic trail: class 10, class 12, graduation and any professional qualifications. No CAT score needed.

  2. 2

Add your work experience (as of 31 December 2026) and a few institute-specific details.

  3. 3

We compute the non-CAT part of each institute's shortlisting formula from your profile, exactly as published.

  4. 4

The engine then works out the CAT percentile you'd need to reach each institute's recent interview-call cutoff, shown for your category, college by college.
